HQDuck 7.1 features
HQDuck works in two text recognition modes: online and offline.
In online mode, screenshot of the game area is sent to an OCR server, processed, and recognized text is sent back to you.
In offline mode, screenshot of the game area is processed on your computer.
There is some downsides to both methods. Online mode is generally slower, and requires fast Internet connection. Offline mode is usually takes only 500-1500 ms to process, but it is less accurate.
Online languages: English, Russian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Korean, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
Offline languages, as well as the installation guide, can be found here.
Since we do not have a team for each language, we can only guarantee stable work with English language.
Some answers is not one word, such as “The Beatles” for example. It could mess the results, because the bot can find many times find the word “Beatles”, but never “The Beatles”. If the bot search for the full answer only, often if can give no results at all, so we implement split wording feature. You can disable it by enabling “compact design” mode.
To “show” the bot where the game on your screen is, you only need to press “Run Quick Game Area Setup...” in settings, and hover it with your mouse. Just once! It will store these settings in current profile, so you do not need to select it every time.
And if you need to separate questions from answers, you can now use advanced selection.
If you play more than one game, you can save different game areas in different profiles, so you can switch between them without re-selecting each game area for each game.
There are two OCR methods: online, which is connects to online OCR server, and offline – it convent game area in to text just on your computer. Online is a bit slower, but it converts symbols more correctly than offline one.
You can use keys combinations for faster access to some of the bot most useful functions.
Scan question – CTRL + G
Reload the bot – CTRL + R
You can use two search engines at the same time, getting more accurate results.
Since this bot is universal and can work with any game show, we also added 2 and 4 answer mode to support more games.
If you just need the possibility of each answer to be correct and nothing else that can distract you, you can enable “compact design” mode.

Some questions are having ‘not’ type, for example – “Which of these is NOT…”. If that’s the case, the bot will count the most unpopular answer as the most correct answer. You can change which words means ‘not’ by yourself (no, not, never, etc.)
If you wish to search questions by yourself – you can enable this function, and after scanning the question the bot will open it in your browser.
